Lead by the legend of Afrobeat and Fela Kuti’s drummer, Tony Allen, the Afro-Haitian Experimental Orchestra was born during his stay in Haiti in 2014.
Tony Allen met the most talented singers and drummers of the country such as Sanba Zao, that sings on “Bade Zile.” Analogic synthesizer combined with psychedelic guitars result in an explosive mix between haitian voodoo rythms, afrobeat drums and experimental electronic music. A wide gap of inspirations : from Can to Sun Ra, and from Lagos to Port-au-Prince !
